EXPERIENCE/SKILLS SUMMARY

Mechanical Design, Commissioning, Direct Digital Control (DDC) and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) work

  • Designs and commissions DDC systems to control building HVAC in English and French. Provides contract DDC programming for 20 buildings. Over 100 DDC systems designed and commissioned.
  • Commissions the HVAC components of buildings such as offices, schools, labs and military bases.
  • Designs and commissions boiler and unit ventilator systems, HVAC upgrades, chiller replacements for industrial and commercial buildings and schools. Designs and commissions HVAC for high tech manufacturing facilities (e.g., window factory). Designs process exhaust and task ventilation that solves occupational health problems.
  • Analyses and designs remedial measures to correct IAQ problems (such as inadequate ventilation, chemical, microbiological (mould/bacteria), radon and LBP) in labs, commercial buildings, schools, condominiums and houses. He has supervised medical, micro-biological and chemical experts to solve IAQ problems, including the design and analysis of IAQ questionnaires on occupant health.
  • Prepares simple, manual Preventive Maintenance (PM) systems for buildings of all types.
  • Designs solutions to problems in buildings located in the NWT. Work includes IAQ, correction of HVAC controls, HVAC system design and maintenance problems, PM and controls training.
  • Analyses industrial/commercial buildings for compliance with Building, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Building/Fire codes.
  • Prepared and implemented Year 2000 (Y2k) upgrades to DDC and other building systems.

 

Training, Economic Analysis and Planning
